                                                                                   Saturday, September 15th

Opening the event on Saturday at 2 p.m. the fantastic Billy D and the Hoodoos. With the rock solid rhythm section of Joe Casimir on bass and Scott VanDusen on drums, Billy Desmond leaves his fans asking for more at every performers. His album “Somethin’s Wrong” and follow up album “Overnight Success” are both critically acclaimed. “Tasty and Tasteful, these solid tracks go down easy, but have a kick. Billy D and the Hoodoos are a true jewel of the Portland music scene” -Peter Vaughn Shaver, Sound Advice.

4 p.m. The Strange Tones. A veteran of the Peninsula R&B Festival’s predecessor, Ilwaco’s Blues and Seafood, the Strange Tones have earned a big place in many peninsula blues fans’ hearts. With their high energy, dynamite playing, and choreography, they are just plain fun to watch. “Guitar Julie” and bassist husband, Andy Strange, “Suburban Slim”s stellar guitar and vocals, and Andy Gothier’s commanding drumming make it so. Peninsula R&B Festival is proud to have The Strange Tones on our stage.

6 p.m. Norman Sylvester Band. The peninsula’s favorite son returns with his soulful, passionate vocals and unmatched story telling in each one of his tunes. *Author’s note: The last time Norman was at Blues and Seafood, I literally had tears in my eyes and a big lump in my throat. He’s that good. With bassist Rob Shoemaker and Paul Shoemaker on drums holding down the bottom end, and the many guest artists Norman employs, you will feel that same awesomeness that is The Norman Sylvester Band.

8 p.m. The Rose City Kings.  The Peninsula R&B Festival is thrilled to have the Rose City Kings round out the event. Super high energy front man Dan Berkery’s guitar work and gritty vocals, Steve Kerin’s impeccable keyboards and vocals, Gary Keeney’s rock solid drumming, David Lipkind’s searing, soulful harmonica, Tim Shaughnessy holding the bottom end down on bass, and Katy Oberg on percussion and vocals, the RCK’s will have you up and grooving! Which is good, because after their performance…..

10ish p.m. to midnight, we will have an invitation only jam, hosted by the Norman Sylvester Band, and most likely joined by performers from the festival and other players with known ability.
